honestly i think theyve lived for so long that they have lost the ability to define it. Like if i know someone for a while, I cant tell if they are conventionally attractive or not, I just loose the ability to accurately perceive their face. i think the mechs have just known eachother and have so many different feelings and history that they dont have a word for it and dont try to label. Even "partners" might be too specific, I think they probably just call eachother crewmates because thats the only thing that is really objective about the relationship.

the whole of the mechs polycule is intentionally vague. all of them are dating the others (save for nastya, who’s mostly monogamous) but they refuse to define their relationships. all of them are some flavour of aroace and none of them quite know what sort of attraction it is, so they just say they’re partners and nothing beyond that. the only definition they’ve agreed on is that it’s not romantic. is it platonic? queerplatonic? alterous? who knows, not them

[is a mechanism, watching an outdoor dance performance with some of the other mechanisms. The dancer's outfits are meant to represent trees]

Tim: hey look at that tree

[tim points at an actual tree. it looks like it kinda has a face]

Me: hes watching the sexy tree dancers

Jonny: do trees even feel sexual attraction

Jonny [visibly confused]: I thought trees were alive?

Me: it just looks like it has a face, its the way the tree grew.

i think jonnys blood has a lil bit of motor oil it bc heart but its not really that noticeable unless ur standing a foot away from him. jonny draws over it to be dramatic.

Biggest mechs hot take?

idk that i really have any opinions that i would consider Hot Takes but i do have a personal headcanon that i like so maybe that counts

jonny n tim both obviously have very similar markings around their eyes but my hc is that jonnys are more like darkened veins, maybe a side effect of something wrong with his mechanism or from when it was inserted, since he was the first

and tims are more like brittle cracks around his eyes, since his face got kinda. barbecued…

yes i spent 50 dollars on this. if only the mechs still sold official merchandise. then i wouldn't have to do this. Alas.
